Patmark MarkinBOX Pin Housing

If you are in the position of having to replace a pin & spring or any other internal parts of the Patmark/MarkinBOX Pin Housing, then this post is for you.

In this post, we will demonstrate how easy it is to disassemble the Patmark Pin Housing to replace the inner parts. Though the MarkinBOX pin housing looks a little different, the steps and inner parts are the same.

Here is a quick video going through the steps.

  • 1) Before you begin, please be sure to turn off the power, to avoid injury.
  • 2) As you disassemble, make sure to place all parts in a safe place.
  • 3) Part List:
    • a. Guide
    • b. Guide Screw x2.
    • c. Pin Holder
    • d. Pin Holder Screw x4.
    • e. Pin Guide
    • f. Socket Bushing
    • g. Stamp Ping. Stamp Pin
    • h. Spring
    • i. Hammer
  • 4) Check each part to determine if any are showing signs of being worn and need replacing.
  • 5) If anything is dirty, clean with a cloth.
  • 6) When you decide to reassemble, make sure to tighten the screws firmly.
  • 7) If you can’t remember the order, please refer to the video above.
  • 8) Once you finish, you’re ready to start marking.

It may seem difficult, don’t worry. It is an easy job. Remember a clean and maintained pin is a consistent mark.
